This page describes the Argos software setup at MPE. This setup includes the start-up scripts and the configuration files.

  1. The starter scripts for the service and GUI clients are in $INSROOT/bin.
  2. $INSROOT/bin is an element of $PATH.
  3. The directory $INSROOT/etc contains the configuration files.
  4. The environment variable $INSROOT is /home/argos/apps.

Diode Current Source

I/O Switch

Laser

Remote Desktop

VNC is a program to display a remote desktop. Xorg can act as a VNC server. This configuration file serves as an example.

  2. VNC for Xorg requires the package vnc-server. For CentOS 6, the packages is called tigervnc-server.
