VxWorks Windows XP VM Environment Description

Back to the VxWorks main page

The VxWorks development environment is a Windows XP VM called tornado.tucson.lbto.org, reachable via VNC.

Installed on this machine:
  • Tornado
  • PCW compiler and IDE 3.23 and CCS C Compiler v.4
  • tftp - set up as a server for downloading bootrom.bin VxWorks kernel files
  • TortoiseSVN


It has a mapped drive (Z:) to the Tucson vxworks disk that the lab VxWorks machines ftp from for booting.

On the C: drive it has:

  • a checkout of the PMC software from SVN in \pmc
  • the tornado build environment in Tornado2.2
  • the new board documentation and BSP in Artesyn
  • the root for the TFTP server is in TFTP-Root - copy files here for the VxWorks systems to download from
