TCS Testing using IRTC, LBC, and MODS

Some instrument testing we can do ourselves as the software group, we do not require an astronomer.

IRTC

Simple script for sending a guide preset, pretending to be LUCI1, with a stars.dat file that lists a target and guide star.

irc register 'bentGregorianFront left' LUCIFER
irc setstars stars.dat
irc presettel 0.0 position guide left

MODS

Log in as lbto to an obs workstation. cd to home/MODSeng/modsScripts/Support

See Instrumentation/MODSStartUp for how to bring up the computers, what services need to be running, etc.

See also PartnerObserving/MODSQuickRefWiki which includes the shutdown (modsSleep notes)

Remember the MODS UI is part of the scripting engine, so you cannot run the modsAcquire or modsExec scripts without the GUI being up!

Track preset from MODS parks the probe.
Active preset does active optics as well.

MODS dashboard has ability to send DETXY and RADEC offsets.

LBC

Even with closed dome testing, need to run DOFPIA on the LBC side you're using to make PSF happy.

For example, as lbto on an obs machine for only red side:
cd /home/lbcobs/LBCFPIA/lbcfpia/src
> idl
IDL> dofpia, /redonly
