LBTO Family night, but cloudy until midnight. Ray and Tim and Olga has straightened out the CCD controller fibers in the afternoon. So LBC-Blue camera and shutter are pretty much working. Olga ran shutter tests in the afternoon. Shutter stuck closed one time in several hundred test exposures.

06:03 - Note strange band on lower rows of all 4 CCDs in images 060340 and 060429.

Image quality tests for LBC-Blue Optical Alignment, too fuzzy at first to be of much use, but better as the night wears on. Vsuperfoc.ob takes 5 sequential focus images with separation 0.040 mm starting with M1 0.080 mm below the nominal focus position measured by Vfastextra and LBCFPIA. This is similar to Vfinefoc.ob, but taking data on all four chips.

11:58 3 x 5 min dithers to test guiding. lbtmu03 slows to a snail's pace. (lbtmu05 and CMU OK) "top" shows firefox using 56% of memory. Had to launch LBC UI on lbtmu05 to continue. Guiding failed on the first image, despite a number of stars on the tech chip. Guiding failed partway through the second image. Clouds plus twilight?

12:22 start another 5 min image with PCS guiding turned off. At this position we have enormous azimuth drift (of order arcsec/sec).

12:26 Slew to pointing star 246 (/home/lbcobs/PointingOBs/wt000246.ob).

12:35 1 sec V exposure (4 chips) at pointing star 248. Pointing is off by ~ 8 arcmin, but not enough to cause the drift we saw at EL=67. Need to confirm some WCSs from earlier in the night.

12:40 Close dome.

Note: To use the "finished" Vfastextra image for building a collimation model, it is necessary to apply the last LBCFPIA corrections sent to the mirror to update the collimation values in the header of that last extrafocal image.
+1000 nm Z4 gives +0.072 mm MIRRORZ
+1000 nm Z7 gives +0.357 mm MIRRORY
+1000 nm Z8 gives +0.357 mm MIRRORX
+1000 nm Z11 gives +0.173 mm MIRRORZ plus shape change.
