If the unit is beeping and the Celestron scope is pointed way off of center, it needs to be reset.

Turn off the power. (rocker switch on underside of the unit)

Loosen the set screw for X axis, and recenter the unit.

Loosen the set screw for Y axis, and recenter the unit.

Power unit back on.

Remember:

THE SET SCREWS CANNOT BE TOO TIGHT

When recovering from a bottoming out fault, after moving the unit back to "on center", the thumb screws should be tightened to "one finger" tight.

That means tightening the screws with just the tip of one finger.

The procedure is documented right on the DIMM unit up on the telescope.

The procedure says back it off 30 degrees, which nets to the same effect as "one finger tight."
