MODS1 and MODS2 Service Positions

rotAngle is in degrees, as set in the MCS Rotator Status dialog by the telescope operator.

MODS1 Service Positions

Red CCD Head Electronics Box 225°

IEB-Red & Cable Wrap Services 285° Cable wrap end AC, Ether, & Glycol access
Instrument Ingress Hatch 180° Ingress only when Horizon-Pointing
Normal (PA=0) 207° Normal starting position for PA=0\xB0
Instrument Install/Remove 207° Position for MODS1 install/remove
IUB & IEB-Blue Service 345° The main AC power switch is on the IUB
At a given rotAngle, the position being serviced is facing outward opposite the left elevation C-ring.

This gives the clearest safe access to the service ports from one of the scissors lifts.

MODS2 Service Positions
