Just to recap. If the conditions are good we plan to get the telescope around 22:00 local time because Io culminates around 23:00. Then we switch the Taurus region and we plan to give back the telescope between 2:30-3:00 depending on how the observations go.

Indeed, we prefer to work with slots of a few hours centered around science targets and not with whole nights or half-nights because we do not have a big amount of hours for the commissioning. Working with slots of a few hours allows us to optimize the efficiency, science return, and to limit the impact on the INAF observation schedule.
