UT 20161026 LUCI1 AO Nighttime Commissioning

Observer LUCI-Team: JHeidt
Observer AO: DMiller
Telescope Operator: SAllenson

Plan for the night

We start,Sebastain asked to stop30-60mins earlier

- AFC-tests

- PSF-variability

-Stability and robustness of system

Summary

- Good data to test for PSF-variability on short timescales

- Several issues with the telescope service, probably too many instances
running at the same time on the mountain and down in Tucson

Details

All times are UT
Files are luci1.20161026.NNNN.fits

00:45 Sunset, clear, T=7deg, Hum=70%

01:00 Steve checks pointing and collimates, guider says 1"

PSF variability on short timescales

Bin=2 (110 modes)

01:11 Preset to M71, Dimm gives 1.2", RunAO failed, again write permission of ARGOS temporary file
script stopped after preset when a large offset was requested, resent preset, RunAO, OK,
#0012-0041 (skies), #0042-0541 (5 * 100 images at different dither positions), t = 2.6sec

Stability and robustness of FLAO/LUCI1

Bin=3

02:32 Preset to 3c403 a few times, didn't work, telescope didn't get the preset and/or waits for a collimation flag
Alexander recommended to call Tom, did so, after 15mins the preset was timed out and all at the sudden, the GS appeared,
RunAO, OK, seems that there were too many telescoper service instances from ARGOS on the mountain running
03:42 Eror during offset, "error committing setup to", Alexander restarted DD and telservice, didn't help
FInally restarted SW, set up everything, adn resent preset, OK, RunAO, OK, do a couple of offsets before handover
images: #0542-0566

04:22 Stopped, handover, EoR
