AdOpt Software

  • More work on the AdSec Arbitrator. Some more functions have been implemented.
  • More work also on the WFS Arbitrator. The GUI has been enhanced with more functions to support calibrations and some tests for calibrations have been successfully completed.
  • More tests regarding the diagnostics for the optical loop have been performed. 500 Hz of data downlad rate for both frames and slopes has been measured.
  • Tests on the complete arbitrator hierarchy have started
  • New routines for the calibration of capacitive sensors using the 4D interferometers have been written.
  • The work on the AdSec diagnostic GUI to be used at the telescope is still in progress.


  • AOS is up and running and communication tests have been started. Some test procedures have been improved.
  • CentOS 5.2 has been installed on the test-bed machine so that all tests are being performed in the new environment.
  • Tests for the control of the hexapod by means of the OSS have started. We intend to compare the OSS functions with the hexapod control routines developed in Arcetri in order to assess safety of operations.


  • Some functions for the remote management of the air conditioning system of the solar tower and the monitoring of environment data have been developed. They will be used for the LBT672a optical acceptance tests.
