ff_pure_current is not cleared at the end of the application of modes.

to test the behavior, the following command lines was execute. results are shown in the plot below. !!!! a variable offset was added to the plots in order to separate the data: it is not a real offset, but just a graphical adjustment.

1) test on application of 10 modes, at changing number of iterations
