PuTTY Setup

Under Session, fill in shell.tucson.lbto.org as the Host Name

Under Connection --> Data, enter your username as the Auto-Login username

Under Connection --> SSH --> X11, make sure that X11 forwarding is enabled

Then return to Session and name and save a preset setting

Plotting

Make sure that Xming is installed on your computer, and launch it

First, login to the AnyConnect VPN

Launch PuTTY, and double click your saved session to open it

Once prompted for a password, sign in

You can access a directory with plotting scripts by typing: cd /lbt/lbto/supportscripts/TelemetrySupport

You can also get help about commands by typing: ./dimmplot_hdfextract.py -h

An example plot is: ./dimmplot_hdfextract.py -d 20190507 -e 14 -b 13

-d specifies the date, (YYYYMMDD) -e specifies the endhour, and -b specifies the backhour

This would make a plot for May 7 of 2019, ending at hour 14 and going back 13 hours

After making a plot, you can launch a display window by typing: /home/jhill/bin/LBTdisp.py &
