SOUL Comm

  1. Topic #1 WFS calibration of SOUL-LBTI-SX
    • 12 pointing with closed and TN acquisition just for documentation.
    • The output of the measurement is WFS mag Vs Gaia mag
    • Considering 20min per pointing → 12*20min = 240min = 4h
  2. Topic #2 NCPA test on SOUL-LBTI-DX
    • In principle, it can be done in parallel to the brightest pointing of topic #1.
    • However, I propose a sequential test, exploiting the topic #1’s pointing: we point bright star of topic #1 set, we do the measurement for topic #1 and then we move to S-LBTI-DX for topic #2
    • This approach requires about 15min / star.
    • 3 bright stars *15min = 45min
  3. Topic #4 SW test
    • Does it require any dedicated time?

LUCI2 Transform
  1. Collect transform data - (2hrs) low priority must do RotZP First
  2. Target Fields, select one near transit:
    • Stone O 21 37 31 +00 31 55 Stone_O_m12.list
    • Stone P22 35 49 +01 31 33 Stone_P1.list
    • Stone A 00 54 02 -00 32 34 Stone_A3.list
  3. Seeing should be no worse than ~1", list should include ~ 50 stars
  4. Have the TO send an Active preset to tune pointing on the field and collimate
  5. Configure LUCI with the N30 field stop aligned, N375 camera, H filter, flexure compensation on.
  6. Follow the instructions as outlined on: https://wiki.lbto.org/Commissioning/ComTools#Guide_Probe_Transformation
  7. Take 5xdarks to match exposure time taken
  8. Process transform data (or shoot Doug an email ASAP)
