Night Plan

On-Sky Plan

Closed tonight - bladders installed. No chance to open.

Closed Dome Plan

  1. DONE Closed Dome Test Preset tests
    1. DONE LBC - Track
    2. DONE MODS - Track, Acquire, Active (fake guide star)
  2. DONE LBC Filter checks
    • Light levels: Gallery & stairwells only
    • Script name: /lbt/lbto/lbc/Calib_OBs/ClosedDome/AllFilt_Bright_PA0.xml
    • These use different exposure times, but you can still check for the annealing pattern characteristic at U & B and that the count levels are reasonable
  3. DONE MODS Focus check
    1. Check camera focus settings using sieve and pinhole masks
      1. Priority: DONE Dual Imaging,
      2. As time permits: DONE Blue Grating, DONE Blue Imaging, DONE Dual and Blue Prism modes.
      3. Scripts located in /home/lbto/modseng/modsScripts/Testing/MODSfocus
        https://wiki.lbto.org/Instrumentation/MODSFocus
  4. SX Flat optimization with LBTI WFS
    1. Configure the telescope for LBTI (can not be done in parallel to moving telescope or swingarm tasks)
    2. Requires stow mins in, on oil, dark chamber, argos source deployed
    3. Acquire the argos source with the LBTI WFS, close the loop. Save a new flat. Rinse and repeat
  5. MODS reference Calibrations: Contingent on repairs to MODS1 quadcell and completion of tasks 1 & 2
    • Telescope at zenith, lights off for all but the lamps. Take these as able, but try to get through the (1) BIases, (2) Comparison lamps (grating), (3) Slitless pixel flats and (4) Imaging flats and then the dual grating slit flats.
    • Estimated time for (1)-(4) is about 3 hours. (Estimates from /lbt/lbto/mods/howlong.py)
    1. DONE Biases: 25 min
