Overview:

02:20 Unable to ssh to adsec or lbti wfs machines. We are able to ping them though. Tried skipping alias and directly ssh’ing to ip, waiting but connection closed by machine.

02:39 called Stephen who heroically stepped in and helped troubleshoot

03:19 Stephen is going to call us back after investigating some more.

03:25 Working on bringing MODS up. Looks like comtrollers need restarting. I’m just going to bring things up cleanly from scratch.

03:43 Stephen has some ideas! And solved. Logged in as root, adjust sshd_config with some commands he provided. Happy!

03:50 Amali is bringing up adsecs, I’m working on MODS.

MODS

04:30 Ilya is having hte same problem but with ssh, so did the same sort of thing to that machine as we did to adsec and wfs. Can ssh to it now.

05:00. MODS is finally up. Brought up MODS2 software. I ended up restarting the comtrollers so started from scratch.

-Started the cronjob for MODS2 and also started up the MODS2 portion of the ISp daily report.

-Note that on the Post Shutdown page, the commands isisCmd --mods1 m1.ie agc and isisCmd --mods1 m1.ie wfs

-Should be isisCmd --mods1 m1.ie util agc and isisCmd --mods1 util m1.ie wfs

Checkout

  1. mods2ColdStart.pro script
    • the 'agw reset' failed several times. Possible syntax error? Skipped that step. Restarted the AGw processed and moved the probe manually 'grpobe 0 -100' as you suggested and it moved fine. Homed. mods2ColdStart success

  5. The imcsTTFs.pro actually in the Dual directory

    • Running the imcsTTFs.pro script

    • Mods2 took about 4 minutes longer than mods1 to complete the script.
    • Changes summarized in table below
    • The numbers obtained for colttfa colttfb colttfc were all fairly close except for DGrating for MODS2. I expected to see a difference of ~150 looking at the other numbers. But this one was 1150 off. I backed up the b & rconfig.tabs and filled in the new numbers. I reran the imcsTTFs.pro.

    • The numbers achieved match what are in the r&b.conf files pretty much which is what I would expect. I did step away for a quick sec and missed locking for dual grating. Although I could just run this mode I'm reruning the imcsTTFs once more.

LUCI1

  1. While taking focus data, going to do functional checkout of LUCI1. Bringing up GEIRS still takes a very long time without the network.
  2. All mechanisms for LUCI1 are unknown. Init failed with timeout. MCE on yet?
  3. Unable to ssh to luci.luci.lbto.org, but I can ping it. Same as the computers earlier in the night so checking if its the same thing….and it worked.
  4. MCE was off via the webIO. Turned on. Init all units successful.
  5. All Using The IMGUI - Will use eng if things go amiss.
    • Move FW1 Positive: +10 moving from Jlow to JHigh, + 10 moving H2 to HeI, no other additional steps
    • Move FW1 Negative: -10 steps moving H2 to HeI, no other additional steps
    • Move FW2 Positive: +10 steps from Free06 to Ks, +10 from K to HKspec, no other additional steps
    • Move FW2 Negative: no additional steps
    • Moving Camera: N1.8 ok, N30 ...
    • Error while moving to the N30. 3 additional steps of 10 but not found. Init back to N375 and resent to N30. No additional steps this time.
    • Moved to N375 and 3 additional steps of -10, failed to reach N375
    • Initialized and it took another 3x(-10) steps to reach the N375.
    • Moving to n1.8 ok, to N375 ok, to N30 +2x(10) additional steps but ok, to N375 ok.
    • Move Grating: G210 Tilt 2.45 & 2.105, G200 1.53 & 2.46, G150 2.025 & 2.34, back to mirror
  6. Before moving the mask to the FPU I might check pupil alignment. Need to wait for LN guys to finish so I can put appropriate lights on.
  7. Pupil and Fieldstop alignment:
