AGW2 Alignment with LUCI2@RFBG 20151027 UT

Doug and John have completed the AGW2 alignment this evening in decent seeing. Guider hotspot, pupil hotspot, probe at rotator center have been updated. Binodal aberration has been verified to be small relative to the noise. In PSF, primary astigmatism LUT has been turned off, and focus global offset set to -3.5 mm.

We've handed back to DaveT and Barry at 06:15 UT to take a set of LUCI2 transformation data.


03:30 Doug and John start working really remotely from the main lodge at Lake Arrowhead (Bruin Woods). It is the first time I have ever observed from a room with a fireplace.

AGW2 Guide Hotspot Alignment

DX Guide Hotspot starts at 278,235 pixels.

The adopted guide hotspot of 275,237 was installed in LUCI_R.cfg guidecam_hotspot_x,y. The adopted wfs "hotspot" of 276,263 was installed in LUCI_R.cfg WFScam_hotspot_x,y.

AGW2 Probe Alignment to Rotator Center

04:xx ACTIVE preset on-axis to BS9188 at EL=81

04:10 remove M1 astigmatism LUT since there is no AdSec, and restart PSF. This was done for both LUCI2 and MODS2. Old coefficients were -1.7e4 and 2.0e2.

JMH also fixed the collimation model to include the Zglobal=-3.5 mm needed for the rigid secondary.
