Summary

Details

Despite the snowy forecast from earlier in the week, tonight is mostly clear. Seeing at the start is about 2 arcsec FWHM on the guider.

AIP guys are testing various presets and guiding and different beam splitter combinations, so there are not many notes here.

Acquisition Improvements

I changed the magnitude zeropoint to 25.3 (normal AIP AGW is 28.0) to improved PFU acquisitions. Note that this is an empirical correction, and not the 22.8 that Jesper calculated last night (we don't yet understand the difference).

I shortened the RSCALE distance to 15 arcsec to reduce the chances of picking up the ghost in the lower left quadrant.

StepFocus Issues

See IT 4999.

Resetting Bogus Hotspot Values

See IT 5000

Finish

05:00 Handover to OSURC for LUCI1 observing.
