Summary
Details
Adjusting Both M3s against twilight sky
00:15 Open to sky at zenith
Images are in
/home/lbto/data/20131203_pfu/
Image numbers below refer to BOTH sides
M3s in nominal collimation position
SX abs Tip=-400 Tilt=-400
DX abs Tip=-500 Tilt=-200
wfsc 0002 - 10s
SX center of M2 is at pixel 132,247
DX center of M2 is at pixel 169,246
Move both M3s by deltaTIP +1000 arcsec
wfsc 0003 - 10s
SX center of M2 is at pixel 145,247
DX center of M2 is at pixel 154,247
Move both M3s by deltaTIP +300 arcsec (net deltaTIP +1300)
SX Abs Tip=+900 Tilt=-400
DX Abs Tip=+800 Tilt=-200
wfsc 0004 - 10s
Move both M3s by deltaTILT +400 arcsec
SX Abs Tip=+900 Tilt=0
DX Abs Tilt=+800 Tilt=+200
wfsc 0005 - 10s
wfsc 0006 - 10s
WFS images of stars with hand guiding
00:32 Preset to a bright star in ACQUIRE mode on both sides and center pointing
00:38 Couldn't see faint star, so go back to the bright one
00:44 Preset to a bright star in ACQUIRE mode on both sides and center pointing
wfsc 0007 - 1s (rough alignment, don't use)
M3s in nominal collimation position
SX abs Tip=-400 Tilt=-400
DX abs Tip=-500 Tilt=-200
wfsc 0008 - 1s
Apply deltaTIP +450 to BOTH M3s (in steps of 50 arcsec while Steve follows with IE/CA). We ran into SX M2 X-limit when we went farther in this scheme.
SX abs Tip=+50 Tilt=-400
DX abs Tip=-50 Tilt=-200
wfsc 0009 - 1s
Quick adjustment of stage focus from 20.5 to 40.5 on both sides. Image on ACQUIRE display seems to move about 2 arcsec. No images were saved.
01:09 UT Hand telescope back to observers for reconfiguration to LBC
