Details
03:30 acqMODS wolf1346.acq
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.002.fits
- offset: -3.319 +5.674 -> 003
- -13.00 X to get good image of slit -> 004
- +12.32 X to re-center -> 005
- PCSInstrument MODS1 leftpointingorigin updated to -2.4 3.4
- PCS restarted
03:50 acqMODS wolf1346.acq again...
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.006.fits
- Star offset ~ +6", wrong sign?
- Change sign to +2.4 +3.4, restart PCS
acqMODS wolf1346.acq again...
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.007.fits ...same place?
- Change sign to +2.4 -3.4, restart PCS
04:05 acqMODS wolf1346.acq again...
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.008.fits
- offset: -5.4 +7.9
04:08 acqMODS wolf1346.acq again...
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.009.fits
- offset -5.3 +7.6
- slit center now looks to be at ~517, star at ~505! Frame 010
Verify PCSInstrument.conf back to 0.0 0.0 on pointing origin for MODS1
restart PCS
04:17 acqMODS wolf1346.acq again...
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.011.fits
- star at 550 527, offset -5.4 +7.7
- same as previous acq.
acqMODS is moving the star to coords 505,590 from a starting position of 550,525. In frame 002 the wide slit did appear to be centered at about 505 in X but in subsequent frames it is centered more around 517.
04:31 BS9183 sent from iraf with hotspot offset of +3.2 -4.6 (assumed mm)
- Take image manually
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.013.fits
- offset -9.7 +15.5
04:31 BS9183 sent from iraf with hotspot offset of -3.2 +4.6 (assumed mm)
- Take image manually
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.014.fits
- offset 0.49 -0.12
- 015 post offset (forgot to insert slitmask)
- 016 w/slitmask 2.0s
- star @~505 but slit still appears @ ~518
04:31 BS9183 gs#2 for different PA, sent from iraf with hotspot offset of -3.2 +4.6 (assumed mm)
- Take image manually
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.017.fits
- star @ 556 419
04:56 BS9183 gs=0
- With PO offsets it fails to do the preset (guide probe can't be moved there)
- 018 before manually locked IMCS
- w/o hotspot offsets 019 @ PA=180, 020 @ PA=0
- 021 w/slitmask after manually locking IMCS again
05:18 acqMODS wolf1346.acq again...
- modsAlign -r mods1r.20130911.022.fits
- post offset 023
- after aother IMCS lock 024
Slit in correct position...IMCS was not locking because exposure times were too short?
05:25 Closing, high and rising humidity, dew on all-sky camera.
05:45 Preset to BS9183 ACTIVE gs=0 no hotspot offset on cmd line or in PCSInstrument.conf
PCSInstrument.conf changed to +3.0 -5.0
PCS restarted
05:47 Preset to BS9183 ACTICE gs=0 again, no hotspot offset on cmd line but with PCSInstrument.conf modified
Stage sent to 0 0 in both cases, so PCS is not reading the file
in /lbt/tcs/current...
Testing /home/telescope/TCS/Configuration/PCS/PCSInstrument.conf
- MODS LEFTPOINTINGORIGIN set to 3.0 -5.0
- After preset, MODS sent stages to -2.9 -4.9
- PCSInstrument.conf reset to 0.0 0.0 on the PO
