Closed for a while at the beginning for heavy clouds.

Took a bunch of active optics calibration data through clouds.

Closed at midnight for heavy clouds == blocking the moon.

LFBG Collimation Tests

~03:00 Steve starts collimating LFBG with a series of guide stars at different radial distances off-axis. Note that the ellipticity was higher for WT10_271 gs=1 at 03:10. This may a magnitude effect (measurement noise or variations in exposure time, or not.

03:30 John arrives (in Tucson).

03:45 Returning to gs=1 after being out at the edge of the field.

03:50 Doug connects (from home).

Seeing is varying 0.4 to 0.6 FWHM on the guider. Z11 correction on M1 is varying from ~0 to ~150 nm as Steve changes from star to star.

Offset Zernike Tests on Far-off-axis star

04:20 Preset to high elevation in the west - trying to get a guide star with pupil vignetting. We are looking through about 2 mags of clouds in a reasonably uniform layer.

05:20 Heavy clouds reduce guide star flux by a factor of x20. The guider is well-behaved and does NOT start guiding on the hot pixel, dark spot, sky blobs, etc.
