DX Adaptive Optics Related Tasks (not including AO Commissioning tasks)
Verify SX and DX W functionality with Build 2013A (DLM) priority=high, sky=flexible, time=1-2 hours Failed both sides on 20130202 for non-TCS reasons.
This is partly to verify that W units are correctly reassembled, partly to test the TCS Build, and partly to verify AO operation in advance of LBTI run on Feb 27.
AO Pyramid stage transformation data collection on DX with IRTC (DLM) priority=medium
ACTIVE preset to verify acquistion, guiding, active optics convergence.
Determine/Verify Guider Hotspot for wfs
Measure center of rotator on Guider and
Set guider on-axis encoder counts so that rotator center matches hotspot at 0,612.5 (see BGTechProcedures)
Check/Set SX tertiary position so nearly zero wfsc pupil wobble
Needs LUCI1 past this point
Make adjustment to LEFTZEROPOINT so RA/Dec offsets are along Rows/Columns of IRTC (no change was needed)
Check guide probe z-motion (can be done in average seeing)
Measure preliminary transformation data
Measure center of rotation on LUCI1
Measure refined transformation data
Verify final transform.
SX Only Image Quality Tasks
Test pointing suppressed collimation and pointing models from DSA for Issue 4366 and 4420 (JMH or DLM) in advance of Field Aberration Data priority=very high, sky=flexible, time=2-3 hours (see DSA's note attached to Issue 4366)
Install and test out the new collimation and pointing model.
Verify that pointing and collimation are still OK, and that DSA got the sign of the tube flexure term correct.
Collect pointing and collimation data at ~28 elevations (30-85 deg) without range balancing.
Rebalance that collimation data, and install those refined models. (offsets were applied)
Collect 28 stars for a new pointing model
Collect LFBG Field Aberration Data at EL=55-60 deg - to verify previous Issue 4400 result (DLM or JMH) priority=high, sky=good seeing, time=1.5 hours
Collect LFBG Field Aberration Data at a higher (75) and lower (40) elevation - Issue 4420 (DLM or JMH) priority=high, sky=good seeing, time=3 hours
