    • This is partly to verify that W units are correctly reassembled, partly to test the TCS Build, and partly to verify AO operation in advance of LBTI run on Feb 27.

DX Active Optics Tasks - FIRST TIME

    1. DONE ACTIVE preset to verify acquistion, guiding, active optics convergence.
    2. DONE Determine/Verify Guider Hotspot for wfs
    3. DONE Measure center of rotator on Guider and
    4. DONE Set guider on-axis encoder counts so that rotator center matches hotspot at 0,612.5 (see BGTechProcedures)
    5. DONE Set DX tertiary position so nearly zero wfsc pupil wobble
    6. DONE Make adjustment to RIGHTZEROPOINT so RA/Dec offsets are along Rows/Columns of IRTC (no change was needed)
    7. Repeat from step 3 after AGW2 is dismounted......

  • DONE Confirm binocular acquisition PCS patch on-sky for binocular observations - Issue 4328 or Michele's email of 20121128 (JMH or DLM) priority=medium, sky=flexible, time=1 hour
    • Send SYNC binocular ACTIVE presets to 3 targets with well-aligned, and mis-aligned pointing.
  • ALERT! Measure leaking rates with guiding blocked (JMH) priority=medium, sky=good seeing, time=1 hour
  • ALERT! Measure leaking performance with guiding running (JMH) priority=low, sky=good seeing, time=2 hours
  • ALERT! Measure practical dither range with the new models (JMH) priority=low, sky=flexible, time=1 hour
  • ALERT! Preliminary Data for Binocular Collimation Model (JMH or DLM) priority=medium, sky=flexible, temperature=stable

Other Binocular Tasks

SX Only Image Quality Tasks

  • DONE Test pointing suppressed collimation and pointing models from DSA for Issue 4366 and 4420 (JMH or DLM) in advance of Field Aberration Data priority=very high, sky=flexible, time=2-3 hours (see DSA's note attached to Issue 4366)
    • DONE Install and test out the new collimation and pointing model.
    • DONE Verify that pointing and collimation are still OK, and that DSA got the sign of the tube flexure term correct.
    • DONE Collect pointing and collimation data at ~28 elevations (30-85 deg) without range balancing.
    • DONE Rebalance that collimation data, and install those refined models. (offsets were applied)
    • DONE Collect 28 stars for a new pointing model
  • DONE Collect LFBG Field Aberration Data at EL=55-60 deg - to verify previous Issue 4400 result (DLM or JMH) priority=high, sky=good seeing, time=1.5 hours
  • DONE Collect LFBG Field Aberration Data at a higher (75) and lower (40) elevation - Issue 4420 (DLM or JMH) priority=high, sky=good seeing, time=3 hours
  • ALERT! Additional Focus Data for LBC-Blue ? (pending analysis of previous data) (JMH)
  • ALERT! Calibrate MODS1 platescale with AdSec (DJT) priority=medium, sky=good seeing, time=2 hours
    • Would be best including 2 or 3 "flat" files with different radius from Armando et al.

LBTI Parallel Tasks
