Summary
Things to fix:
- pupil_collect should check that we are in GUIDE or TRACK mode.
Details
00:00 Fairly thick high clouds over us. Did not open at sunset
01:00 Clouds thin. Open chamber. Set pointing, collimate.
01:30 Collimation is not dropping below 700nm RMS on the GCSGUI. This is because the value displayed included Z12-Z22. However, we are not correcting these zernikes, so they should not be included. Torsten patched GCS to only include Z4-Z11: GCS.20121128.V2.7.3.3b and created the link.
01:35 Stopped and started GCSL to get new patch. Works properly. The value displayed on the GCSGUI is the same as the RMSENT in the wfsc .fits header, and this value is used to determine isCollimated.
01:45 Close for clouds.
02:10 Open, clouds thin
02:30 Collect SH pupil wobble data to confirm it is still nearly 0 pixels. Checked that Tertiary is in the same position as last night. Failed, we were in ACTIVE mode
02:37 Preset in GUIDE mode. pupil_collect in /home/dlmiller/data/20121129/sh_1. This will be the home position it Tip=

The plot below shows the ellipse fitting to the measurements for the data set.
08:00 Collect guider hotspot -vs- reconstructed tip/tilt to be able to change hotspot on a preset to keep the SH spots near the middle of the subaps
/home/dlmiller/data/20121129/tt_300 Data quality is poor because did not send wavefront corrections
12:00 Juan Carlos finish testing problems changing binning during
AcquireRefAO.
The FLAO_SX is tested to acquire a star of bright magnitude to use Bin1, teh system acquire the star and it failed when the magnitude is estimated by the reading of the pupils.
The fault has been reported to Alfio.

It has been tested with different magnitudes having the same fault result..
12:01 Preset to BS9152, gs=11 (15.5 mag) to test convergence with dim star and bright background. High aberration, but converged in 5 iterations
12:10 Preset to BS9134 to collect field data.
12:20 field_collect, BS9134_new.list
13:33 Finish field set with 11 points. Data looks good.
