Summary
- Original Cow Active Optics works (converged at the beginning of the night)
- Fallback from Sext to new Cow when not enough spots are found by Sext
- New Cow collimates proplerly
- Sextractor Act Optis converge with beginning of the night collimation
Problems to Fix:
- iif.async for left and right should be set to 0 if monocular (iif_init.pro)

00:01 Open Chamber
00:30 Change links to GCS.20121127.V2.7.3.3 and to directory GCS.newWFS
01:00 David send ACTIVE preset. OK. A lot of coma, but collimating. Using original Cow because
UseSextract false in LUCI_L.cfg (from testing).
01:10 Change to
UseSextract true (and set rm_flat to false). Now new Cow is being used. Sext is finding 0 spots. Error running sex, .nnw file not found. Torsten copy the file and Sext now used.
01:20 GCS and IDL sext output is exactly the same.
01:25 Cancel preset. David clears C00 and Active Optics on Primary and Secondary so we can do a beginning of the night collimation with Sext.
01:30 Active Preset fails: Guiding Sext could not find a file. The new GCS put in a "left" in a file name where it shouldn't. Stop and start GCSL and it works for the first preset. Torsten will fix and make new patch.
01:34 Restarted GCS and Preset successful. Collimate from beginning of the night with Sext. OK
01:43 Patched GCS. David stop and start GCSL. 1st preset successful. 2nd preset successful. Problem fixes.
01:56 Confirmed that IRAF:rangebal works. We should be ready to collect a pointing and collimation model. Confirmed that the M1 and M2 values in the wfsc image header.
02:10 Test my IDL pre
02:21:01 Shell ripped. Active Optics continues and collimate to ~150 nm WFE for the sensed modes. Z12-Z22 sensed ~700 nm, but are not being sent. Not sure the scale factors are correct. See wfsc image 111.
02:30 - 04:30 JC collects sext data
The sexstractor active optics was running during the acquisitions of various fields at different conditions; faint star, vignetting, large aberration, astigmatism, bright background.
