00:00 We are delayed a bit. Problems with SX primary, whose air pressure support didn't work. Had to replace a valve.

Check repeatability of guide probe positioning

03:40 Since sky is mostly overcast, we go to a bright star to check the repeatability of guide probe positioning by moving the guide probe directly and seeing how much the star moves on the IRTC and if it comes back to the same position when requested. Offsets in x and y are up to 1.5 this time in increments of 0.5

Tests for Pisces

Hi Doug,

I tested the setting of the pointing origin using BP11
on my workstation.  I ran the system in Monocular mode
on the right with IRTC.

1) Changed the RIGHTPOINTINGORIGIN values in
the PCSInstrument.conf file: When PCS was invoked, it
properly indicated on the PCSGUI the pointing origin base
values (not {0,0}).

2) Set a different pointing origin value in the pcsclient
program which invokes the PCS commands directly.  This
also changed the pointing origin base on the PCSGUI.

3) Used the PCSGUI to change the pointing origin base.
This also worked.

4) FINALLY...used the IRC calls (SetStars, SetHotspot) to
change the pointing origin.  This also worked.

So...I unfortunately have to say perhaps it was tired user
error.
