    • Note: Marco told me that the astrometry for all the Stone fields are within 20 milli arseconds
    • Note: Marco will add several faint stars (m>17) to the new Stone Fields from the USNO catalog, with coordinates at the 0.3 arcsecond accuracy, for testing guiding and active optics on faint stars.
  • DONE Marco added filtering to the Sextractor analysis. The acquisition of a guide star was occasionally finding a noise spike in the acquisition image, if an obvious guide stars was not in the field. See IssueTrak # 2058
  • DONE Test new archive (/newdata) scheme

      • DONE Acquisition, guide and wfsc images should be put in /Repository/GCSfiles/dailyimages

      • DONE The IRTC gui should write cube files to /newdata
        • Doug changed the config file for the IRTC gui so the file path is r: Note: the gui automatically adds the current data to this default path. This should be removed on the gui before any image are acquired
      • DONE Single IRTC image taken with the "irc GetImage" command (IRAF, IDL or command line) should be written to /newdata

Possible Task (depending on performance of telescope)

  • Collect data for Tracking quality
  • Collect data for Guiding quality
  • Collect data for Active Optics quality
  • Check for pointing jump due to offloading of M2 (low priority)
    • Guide and Active Optics on medium elevation star
    • After 5 or 10 minutes, OffsetTelescope
    • Repeat OffsetTelescope every 5 to 10 minutes
    • => plot guide corrections as a function of time
      • If pointing jump due to M2 offload, then will see a large correction on the first guide image after the offset
      • Perform with Active Optics in "Default" mode (will see spikes) and in "M1" mode (should not see spikes)
      • Baseline will be to perform several OffsetTelescopes in a short time in "Default" mode (should not see spikes)
