Summary

All night lost due to weather

Preparations

01:30 Applied some security updates to IRTC Windows PC

Details (Time in UTC)

Closed-dome tests

Clouds and radar echoes drifting by, so we are hanging out waiting for it to clear. In the meantime, we'll try a few closed-dome tests.

03:28 register IRTC

03:29 pointto M5_0094 - target below horizon

03:31 pointto M5_1396 - hung waiting for M3 apparently because Leg 4 is open-loop.

03:35 Aaron stops and restarts OSS. Init and home M3.

03:37 pointto M5_1396 - preset is happy now.

Switching to LDG (as test of switching)

03:40 GCSL crashes when Aaron changes the authorization to IRTC@LDG.

03:42 LDG rotator won't start. Has somebody been working on it? Later investigation shows it to be in a relative CCW limit. See Issue 2249.

03:48 AGW4 starts OK. GCSL restarted.

03:49 register DGTEST

03:55 readGuideCam exposures on AGW4 still fail for short exposure times. Somewhere about 300 msec seems to be the lower limit.
LBTO@lbtmu41:9 % readGuideCam -e 300
readGuideCam: acquiring full guider image ...
GCS side: L
exposureTime = 300 ms
guide image invalid!
Exit 255
LBTO@lbtmu41:10 %
LBTO@lbtmu41:10 % readGuideCam -e 1000
readGuideCam: acquiring full guider image ...
GCS side: L
exposureTime = 1000 ms
new image (1/1) received: /Repository/guider000002.fits
LBTO@lbtmu41:11 % readGuideCam -e 300
readGuideCam: acquiring full guider image ...
GCS side: L
exposureTime = 300 ms
guide image invalid!
Exit 255
LBTO@lbtmu41:12 % readGuideCam -e 500
readGuideCam: acquiring full guider image ...
GCS side: L
exposureTime = 500 ms
new image (1/1) received: /Repository/guider000003.fits

Back to IRTC

04:20 readGuideCam tests on AGW3

04:40 register IRTC

04:41 pointto M5_1396 ACTIVE - correctly failed for saturated image.

04:47 offset 0 0 - failed correctly because guiding not active

04:48 pointto M5_1396 TRACK

04:49 offset 0 10 RADEC

05:27 stopAGW

05:28 reboot agw-control - oacserver and two check4nports started automatically.

06:xx open vent doors

Open

07:07 Sky is clearing off, so we decide to open. T=10.8 degC, D=6.2 degC. Wind 12-14 m/sec from NE.

07:10 LFBG rotator seems to be in a fault state. Restart MCSPU. Aaron got it going. Lost 6 minutes.

Close

07:17 Another rain shower has appeared on radar to the SE, so we close again.

10:00 Figured out that for Issue 2226, Firefox is crashing just after closing a PDF file.

10:20 We surrender for tonight as the radar echoes are getting thicker.
