  • Lost entire night to weather
  • Made multi-night LUCIFER collimation model (improved temp terms)
  • May have found bug in IDL procedure
  • Worked on automatic WCS application for checking scale variations

Lost entire night to bad weather.

Usable data from Dec 03 through Dec 11 used for multi-night LUCIFER collimation model. Data spans -2.9 to +4.9 C and 23.4 to 97.3 degrees EL. Improved temperature terms. Note that the original IDL script for fitting collimation data may have a sign error in the output of the temperature terms vs. how they are applied when the data are read in. Also check LBC's script! New model copied to mountain as SXPMLUCIFERCollimation.20081214.dat but not implemented as the default pending verification by JHill.

Iraf task LBTtools/LUCIFER/ modified to allow automatic fits to WCS with clipping of outliers. Currently testing, but results agree with hand-fits to ~0.1% on one test field.

02:10 D.Thompson end of night
