8:00 Take vignetting data by looking at the bright western sky.

All data in /Repository/AGW_Data/080619w (even though data was taken on 080620)

Data to see the motion of the WFSC pupil on the chip and the associated loss of sub-apertures.

9:06 have found a problem when running Doug's IDL routijne and GCS together for WFS. GCS takes and receives images fine until DOug requests one with his routine, then GCS keeps getting socket errors. Problem understood and solution being implemented. Also Torsten will try doubling the size of the guide box to facilitate the sort of engineering measurments we are trying to do.

9:17 going to #8. measuring wfsc 9-12 Ang -14 XY (0 470)

9:22 go on axis collimate wfsc 13-15 going to #7 not on guide chip, just off to left, going to #14 Ang = -84 (XY) = (0, 469) wfsc 17-20

9:39-10:00 back on axis to collimate wfsc 21 going to #17 problems with rotator angle dead zone, back on axis to collimate wfsc 22-24 then #22

10:01 #22 measuring WFSC 25-28 Ang= -143 (XY) = (0, 429)

10:06 back on axis to collimate

10:12 gone to star #4 wfsc 30-33, Ang = 27, (XY) = (0, 460) on axis to recollimate

10:13 going to #7 IE CA should have been at -65 -65, but whne we went to star 7 they were at -56 65 and star not on chip give up go back on axis

10:30 going to star #20 again moved off the deadzone for the rotator

10:45 seems that we are yet again having network-wide problems, virus attack? aliens? going back on axis to recollimate then trying yet again for #20

10:51 problems with guiding through the meridian but maintain lock, big swings.

10:52 gone to #20 WFSC 47-50, ANG= -128, 124, 120, (XY) = 467

10:56 going to on axis recollimate, then to #4

11:02 #4 wfsc 55-58 ANG 130-141 (XY) = (0,460)

11:07 collimating on-axis

11:10 going to #8 taking data no good, going back on axis

11:30 going to #11 too faint, going to #14 not working out going to 16 , back on axis first to recollimate

11:42 gone to star 18 @ ANG = +56, (0, 428) wfsc71-74

11:46 after on-axis collimation gone to #3 ANG =159 (XY) = (0,458)

12:30 Problem with new build of GCS. Get large number of socket error while reading.... when guiding and request a WFSC image with the stand alone routine (used by IDL) and guiding dies. Called Stephen and he returned (no beer for him tonight) to Steward and put in 19:07 version of GCS. Still getting socket errors, but Guiding does not die.

1:25 Aaron added to IssueTrak #1200 for hard point 0. Primary is not finding position on about 1/2 of AO corrections.

1:30 goto BS9177 #19 but find that rotator is changing by 45"/s so no good, going to circumpolar star and trying again.

1:50 have decided to roll in the predicted +15' M2 tilt, and will now take a new bunch of field measurements on BS 9177 to compare to those of earlier tonight

2:00 gone to BS9177, collimated on axis (wfsc99), rolled in 15" of tilt, remeasured aberration on axis (wfsc 100)

2:06 going to #19 and taking data wfsc (101-104) Ang = -176 XY = (0,482)

2:11 on axis to collimate, off to star 51

2:16 #51 @ 106, (0,450), wfsc 106-109, on axis to collimate

2:24 gone to star #52 @ (0,467), ang =85 , WFSC 111-114, back on axis to collimate

2:29 gone to star #16 @ -110 (0,464), wfsc 117-119 (ignoring 116) finished data set of 4 points at elevation 66degrees.

3:00 EF measurements with M5_1539 Guide on gstar=1 (183" off-axis)

3:10 Collimate

3:15 Focus IRTC by putting Z4 on primary: -1500 nm

3:20 Focus WFSC by moving AGW stage to measure "0" focus

21 Z4 = -870, -750 (125, 126) 10 sec exposure
23 Z4 = -611, -650 (127, 128)
