Commissioning Notes from 21-24 May 2008 MST

D.Thompson @ LBTO, A.Rakich on call in Tucson (night of the 21st).
OSA: David G.-H.

Summary

Growing fire at the 4000ft level on the N side of Mt.Graham is causing talk of shutting down the mountain in the morning. Winds too high (>80mph in the afternoon) to consider opening at sunset. Although they seem to be calming down we still get peaks over 20m/s. We also have nearly complete cloud cover (04:00UT) and strongly rising humidity (45% now, 35% one hour ago).

The forecast for the 22nd and 23rd are for clouds and possible snow on Mt. Graham. It looks like this commissioning run is done, but I will keep my fingers crossed (when not typing).
