Summary

  • Summer shutdown.
  • Calibration of the TS4 at DX side using the 4D. Getting a first 600 modes flat.
  • Problems with the trigger signal. The trigger board was changed with the spare
  • It has found that the internal mouse hole has a large contribution to the RMSWFE.
  • Cooling system up and running.

Acquisition of interaction matrix from modes 0 to 661 to use them to flat the mirror.

Trigger signal issue.

During the reduction of the data we have found that the acquisition frequency was oscillating and we are loosing some frames. With missing frames we can not get a good INTMAT for high order modes. The fibers were clean in the LTH and UTH, also the fiber in the UTH the trigger fiber was swapped wit the SX and the results was the same of a loosing data. The trigger transceiver board was changed with teh spare and this issue didn't shopwed again.

The log in the 4D has been updated with a new line showing if we are loosing packages. crop of the 4D log: "4D LOG Mon, 26 Aug 2013 10:54:59 ---> CAPTURE OK Folder= img4d Captured Frames:3/3 Freq= 25.10 LOST Trigger Frames -0.01 FrameGrab: BAD= 0.00 MISSED= 0.00"

Flattening

Series of int mat are built and tested ( flat ) to see the improvement in the RMSWFE of the mirror. For one intmat has been done three measurements to check the stability of the int mat (stability of the flat).

The two final flats with 600 modes is showed in the images below; The best flat is done with 600 modes and increasing the interanl obscuration by 15% reducing the side effects of the mouse hole patch.
