GENERIC IMAGE QUICKLOOK
Pisces images for each observing run are stored in the directory /OldRepository/PISCES_Data/{ observing date:eg.20111231}. The quicklook is an standalone program that is hosted (temporaly directory) in AOeng@obs3. To
launch the application we have to go to the directory /home/AOeng/QL/ and type >
idl quick will diplay a widget with different options like; change the colours, rotate, flip axes, read the image header, etc...
The tab ANALYSIS shows the options to
SUM two images,
DIFFERENCE two images and analysis of the
Strehl Ratio. The strehl ratio is giving an
approximation of the system performances.
The quicklook can preform some images analysis (like IRAF) to display the FWHM, countour plot, plot a line, plot a column, plot a surface gaussian fitting and the strehl ratio analysis.
The Quicklook for Pisces is showed below with the different options. To do any analysis, we have to place the curson on the object and type; eg R and a graph display will show the a radial profile of the FWHM.
DISPLAY
display:
ANALYSIS OPTION C
-Plots a column near to the cursor.
Option_C:
ANALYSIS OPTION R.
- Plots a radial profile and shows the FWHM.
Option_R:
ANALYSIS OPTION L.
- Plots a line nearest to the cursor.
Option_L:
ANALYSIS OPTION J.
- Fit a 1-d Gaussian in the x direction.
Option_J:
ANALYSIS OPTION K.
- Fit a 1-d Gaussian in the y direction
ANALYSIS OPTION G.
- Plots a 2-D gaussian fitting.
- Option_G:
ANALYSIS OPTION S.
- Plots a 2-D gaussian fitting.
- Option_S:
ANALYSIS OPTION E.
- Plots a countour plot.
* Option_E:
ANALYSIS OPTION H.
- Plots a histogram.
* Option_H:
ANALYSIS OPTION SR.
- Plots a SR values with the used filter, displaying the diffraction limited image and the croped images of 100x100 pixels
