Monday, March 16th, 2009: Doug's Work Log

  • Marco acquired capacitive sensor calibration data in the morning. He and Armando had found that the reconstructure matrix used to make a flat using the 4D interferometer adds a small tip/tilt to the flat. This was found when the capacitive sensor calibration data was acquired by moving, in small steps, from a flat with one gap to another flat at another gap. The motion should be (almost) a pure piston, but is not. The addition of the tilt does not invalidate the data collected, but requires a more detailed analysis to get the capacitive sensor calibration.
  • Make comments on FLAO_4 document for Luca
  • Helped Runa get the tanks and hoses ready to fill the Solar Tower with dry nitrogen
  • In the evening, reduced the field data taken by Andrew on 9 March into the coma separated value files that Andrew can use in Exel.
