Wednesday, March 3rd, 2009: Doug's Work Log

  • Helped Marco and Runa mount the Retro-Reflector and install the hub assembly in the Solar Test Tower.
  • We measured the offset of the Retro-Reflector from the center of the bottom W-Unit flange and with the measure angle (from horizontal) of the flange (measured with an inclinometer) determined how much to move the Retro-Reflector to get the proper alignment. This motion is achieved by moving the entire hub assembly on the interface plate that bolts to the upper flange. This motion is now possible because the bolt holes on the shim between the interface plate and the hub assembly were enlarged during the shutdown after the collision.
  • Added some requirements to the AOS Gui TWiki page
  • Had 1.4 hour meeting with Joar, Richard and Rick
  • Made arrangements to meet Runa for a ride to the Observatory at 8:00 am tomorrow so we can get started with moving the hub assembly before Armando and Marco arrive.
