Engineering Panel installation

• OS: Window XP SP3

• Download the file Engpanel_w_driver.rar
• Unzip the file
• Copy all the files .TTF in C:\WINDOWS\Fonts
• Control Panel -> Network and Sharing Center -> Change Adapter Settings.
• Right click on the ethernet card and select Properties
• Install -> Protocol, Have Disk, and select the file "packet.inf"
• Verify that the Protocol "DDK Protocol" now is listed and checked in the Properties of the ethernet card
  
• Now just run the LBT_EngPanel.exe for use it

Engineering Panel Usage

• Configure the network in order to have a static IP in the BCU subnet
• Run the LBT_EngPanel.exe file
  
• Configuration -> Remote IP and configure the correct BCU IP. Leave/put the UDP port to 10000
  
• Push the Connect button. If no error occurred, you are communicating with the BCU
  

Engineering Panel Common Use Case: Change BCU IP

• HINT: In case of SwitchBCU o SlaveBCU, the better choice is to remove the minicrate from the ASM power supply monitor and connect it to an external power source. The ethernet cable can be directly attached to the BCU.
• HINT: In case of crate BCU you are forced to use an optical switch and to configure the MOXA for a complete unit power up.
• Start Engineering Panel and configure it. Connect to the BCU
• From the drop-down menu select "Set BCU IP Address"
  
• Write the MAC address of the BCU and push Set the new IP button. *NOTE that only in this case you will not receive any reply!!!
• Reset the BCU

Engineering Panel Common Use Case: Diagnostic Monitor

• Start Engineering Panel and configure it. Connect to the BCU
• From the drop-down menu select "Diagnostics monitor"
  
• Push start and enjoy the variables
  
• At the end, push Stop and Disconnect
