17:29 I left flexcomp on for the first try. Flex comp updates every 20 seconds and should be turned off during this test. Starting at -5 with a 90second exposure and regular rotator speed.

17:57. This was a huge change to the XC YC but we think this was because of the fact that center star moved the baysides so much to center up. We are rerunning without center star
  • New hexapod positions: -2.12, -2.51, 1.15, -122, -128, -189
  • This centers the star with baysides at: -77.0, -50.0, 55.617.
  • So now are target is at 1303.86, 1185.74, Fov.conf XC and YC positions there needs to be a shift of -3.8" in X and -0.55" in Y
  • Assuming a bayside pixel scale of 0.666667mm/" so new bayside positions are -79.53 and -50.36
  • Moved hexapod so we could once again avoid center pupils: -2.27, -2.18, 1.15, -168, -221
  • And I went the wrong way in X. New pixel positions are 1590.92 and 1143 with baysides -79.53, -50.36
  • Fixing the X position: -74.5, -50.358, 55.617
  • luci2.20230705.0025 we are now at pixel 1022.48 1148. Adjusting XC a little more to 74.25
  • presetAo to -74.25, -50.358, 55.617. luci2.20230706.0001 Again went the wrong way in X and moved to pixel 994
  • presetAo to -74.75, -50.358, 55.617. luci2.20230706.0002. Pixel 1050 1148,
17:28 Moving rotator to 180 degrees so baysides move orthoganolly with hexapod motions. Incrementing in bayside Y.
  • Incrementing in RX and Bayside Y to find the farthest edge before vignetting:
    • Found vignetting started after -82 in bayside Y with an RX of -35
  • Struggles to find source again: Hexapod at bayside -74.75, -50.36: -2.73, -1.66, 1.15, -210, -238
  • No vignetting right to home at bayside Y 0
  • No vignetting at bayside X=0 or X=108
  • Moving to X=0, Y=80. Big something vignetting at X= 0 and Y=-75, Still visible at 0, =70 but looks like we are seeing the other side

  • Not vignetted at -5, -70
  • Not vignetted at -5, -80
  • Vignetting zone appears to be limited just below -80
  • Moving in X until vignette is gone: X=-5
  • Moving in Y until vignette is gone: Only slightly vignetting at Y=-80, and no longer vignetting at Y=-81. The bottom edge moves out of the CCD47 patrol field at -65.8
  • No sign of vignetting at 0,0, hexapod at -2.73, 1.66, 1.55, 640, 335
  • No sign of vignetting to X=-108 and Y=0, Hexapos to -600, -510
  • And we have vignetting! At Y=80. Vignetting at X=-108 and Y >-76. Vignette is slanted in the x direction and is to some degree for all X >-71 (hexapod at 50, -190)

Some more vignetting at X-23, Y-78 just starting to appear (hexapod RX 20 RY200). The vignetting extends in to the edge for all X<-23.

Setting up penina for Juan Carlos's test:
  • bin1 500H EM gain1 15000 photons /subapp
  • Some vignetting on the pupil but this was the best Greg could get with adjustments of the cube and translator.
