AO Observations

LEDA - 255

04:06
  • Waiting to finish the previous observation.
04:14
  • Ready to start...
  • The camera lens has moved by a huge amount. We would need to shift by 3 in Y, for bin1. That's crazy.
  • The offset from center was something like 40mm, maybe the telecentric lens is in backward?
  • Now we're having trouble with IIF.
  • We're getting a problem that the telescope service is busy....

Abell 1371

  • Bin3 303Hz
  • LUCI is not taking data, even though the preset finished and I hit "Done"

  • Dave is doing some manual mumbo jumbo

NGC 4720
  • Going to try and use the core of the Seifert to try and use as the guidestar.
  • We had the extra noise in the ocam...
  • The source is diffuse and so I don't think that we are doing very much.
  • I used the gain from the last object because the optimize gain curve was flat and the system added so much gain that the shell ripped.

NGC 2704
  • Can't find it with the CCD 47
  • I can see it, but we can't center on it.
J1712
  • Brightest cluster galaxy again, a different one
  • I don't see a star, we did a pointing check, but still nothing, possibly a bad guide-star position.
  • No time to waste
MCG 07
  • WIND!!!!!
