01:20ish UT David powered on DX WUnit.
  • Sent AO Preset and runAO
  • In center Pupil step the loop diverged
  • Found that the instrument rotator angle was not arriving at WUnit so pupil rerotator was incorrect

01:40ish Stop/start WFS Arbitrator
  • Now WUnit has rotator angle and rerotator moved

01:50ish Send Preset and RunAO
  • Problem with Msgd communication from WUnit to AdSec
  • Loop is still closed and open button on wfs arbitrator gives error.
  • Loop will not close with AdSec stopAO button on adsec arbitrator
  • At IDL prompt type fsm_rip()
  • Get failure
  • fsm_power_off()
  • adsc_stop/start
  • power on and load. All OK

All the communication problems were because the wfs processes had been running since yesterday and they were not w_stop/started for tonight, as AO Checkout instructions describe.
