Calculation of New LUT for SX 20180411

Determine the TT voltage-to-position on LUCI1 transformation

$ cd /work/tt_lut/sx/20180120
$ xemacs volt_x_400Hz.log
EMACS: Add TT voltage applied to the end of each line with luci image names
EMACS: "f7" to start idl
IDL> image_process_set, 'volt_x_400Hz.log', set, retval, /DISPLAY, /FWHM, /VOLTS

**Note: these slope values will be used as an argument for image_process_set later
**Do the same for volt_y_400Hz.log

Determine New LUT

$ xemacs lut_90el.log

IDL> image_process_set, 'lut_90el.log', set, retval, /CORNERS, /DISPLAY, /FWHM

    offset=[147.52,197.32]
**Note: offset is used as an argument for image_process_set to shift the average x and y pixels to 0.0
IDL> image_process_set, 'lut_90el.log', set, retval, /CORNERS, offset=[147.52,197.32], SLOPE=[[-13.15,5.69],[6.08,12.03]], ELEVATION=90.1
**Note: SLOPE=["X values", "Y values"] from above

Files:
  • lut_90el_lut.dat (orginal rot angle grid)
  • lut_90el_spline.dat (finer grid in rot angle)

$ xemacs lut_75el.log

Build New LUT with the four files written above

$ cd /work/tt_lut/sx/20180119
$ cp lut_90el_spline.dat tt_offset_elevation_spline.txt
$ xemacs tt_offset_elevation_spline.txt
EMACS: Move to the end of the file, add two blank lines
EMACS: Ctrl-x Ctrl-i  (insert file ../20180129/lut_75el_spline.dat)

EMACS: Move to the end of the file, add two blank lines
EMACS: Ctrl-x Ctrl-i  (insert file ../20180130/lut_60el_spline.dat)

EMACS: Move to the end of the file, add two blank lines
EMACS: Ctrl-x Ctrl-i  (insert file ../20180130/lut_45el_spline.dat)
