  • Login to argos@argos-sx (dx)
    • Login will get startup GUI
  • Firefox: ARGOS Public TWiki
    • User Manuals and Howto's
      • Power up the ARGOS System (after summer shutdown: Gustavo)
      • Daytime, good shape
      • Nighttime: work in progress
      • Shutdown: work in progress

  • On Startup GUI:
    • Click SX(DX) LALAS Status and SX(DX) LGSW Status (open pages on open firefox)
      • If Monit routine on LALAS or LGSW machine is not running, will not get web page
      • On sx-lalas machine type: argos_sx_lalas_monit_start
    • Common Services run only on DX LALAS machine but all computers/processes connect

  • On Startup GUI:
    • Click "Re-Start all processes" (order is slightly important) (do this only after shutdown of system)

  • Application->Argos Common
    • ARGOS device status GUI

  • Application->ARGOS SX->Arbitrator
    • Dead device server (Red on ARGSOS Arbitrator GUI)
    • On web page, stop/start Arbitrator

  • Application->ARGOS SX->ARGOS all status GUI

  • On Arbitrator GUI click "1. Power up"
    • takes ~10-15 minutes. Lasers warmed up and CCD's cooled down

  • Start AdSec GUI's in usual way

  • Start WFS GUI's and "Operate"

  • Applications->ARGOS SX->CCD Viewer (SH)

  • After "Power up" is done then
    • Applications->ARGOS SX->ARGOS AO sensing viewer

  • On Arbitrator GUI click "2. Set up" (2 minutes)

  • On Arbitrator GUI click "3. Start up" (Laser turn on, 1 minute)
    • SX (15, 14, 13 nominal) 12 is a bit of concern (Gustavo). Below 10, probably change laser head (Gustavo)

00:44 On each machine can run
  • glogg

00:48 Once telescope is setup can run "4. Prepare" to check communication between FLAO and ARGOS.
  • Once done, click back to "3. Start up"
  • Note, Prepare opens the clam shells so should go back to Prepare until ready to receive Preset.
