Hi Doug, I added the W unit transformation in our main development tree, which is also the one I am using during the LUCI- AO commissioning runs where we are adding several features (non-common path correction, optical gain, etc).

This development tree is a few months ahead of the version that is being installed for the 64 bit AOS tests (which corresponds roughly to where the software was last December), so the stage transformation will not be available that night.

I still have to enter the right numbers and test the transformation on sky. The idea is to have a text file where the transformation is stored as a 2x2 matrix, and a routine to generate this matrix from the rotation/skew/scaling coefficients.

You can find the current version of the file (an identity matrix...) on the wfsdx computer at this location:

and the script to generate such a file:

09:35 Dave pronounces the transformation is good enough. The measured rotation of the dice5 is 0.18 degrees and the slit is at 0.12 rotation. We should do this in better seeing and more modes (better strehl)
