Summary

  • Py-WFS set up an operations without any problem.
  • Check of the performances of the AO system.

Detail

The FLAO system is power on and set up without any problem.

The mask has been checked at the time that RR was installed.

Adjustment of the rotator angle between the WFS and the telescope rotator. Change parameter in the configuration files.

Check of the reconstructor 20130914_232352 from yesterday to check stability without disturbance. Acquisition of IRTC PSF.

Disturbace of 0.8" seeing is built to check the performances of the reconstructor with an injected atmosphere. The close loop shows some diverging edge in the upper left of the pupils and some instability in the center ring. The forces applied in the center ring were close to -0.7N.

The data collected from the WFS and ASM were analysed to define the next steps to follow. In the analysis of the data it has been seen that some specifics modes apply to much force in the center ring. The work with this KL modal base stop and it is loaded a new KL modal base with the inner rings slaves (null force).

With this new KL (KL_v16) we started to build the INTMAT and the reconstructor to test.

Reconstructor for 10, 200 400 and 500 modes were built and tested. With the 400 modes and with a better flat of the ASM we can identify a few suapertures in the edge that they can be inserted in the pupil.

The test of the reconstructor for 400 modes with disturbance showed an improvement in the center showing a stable loop but the edge of the mirror was still diverging.

Looking the signal in the pupils it has been identifies a few subapertures (5 subap) which they were inserted in the pupil. The new pupil required to acquire and to build new INTMAT and reconstructor.

The reconstructor built at 10, 200, 400 and 500 modes were tested without and with disturbance. The 400 modes shows to be really robust during all the test at close loop and even when a disturbance of 1.6 " seeing was applied.

The telescope is open at twilight and the first 2 hours of the telescope were dedicated to trest the bin on sky. Seeing variable about 1.8" to 1.0", with this variables conditions the system has showed to be robust with 400 modes and even during the autogain process. We observed that the PSF was bouncing around too much and it a test with the tree house off was done.

It has been observe on sky with the tree house off for the last three measurements. Looking the seeing changes it is more possible that the loose of performances is due to rapid changes of the seeing. The telescope was pointing back to teh wind, elevation 65 and the side vent door close.
